Fully upholstered as standard, it is also available with a thicker, more generous foam and a deeper back to provide extra comfort and postural support. The seats and backs are also available in a polished beech veneered laminate or can be made to a mix of laminate and upholstery as required.

Easily put out and put away, the Stanway is an extremely lightweight but very robust free-standing chair. It is a product engineered to last. The design allows both tight stacking and simple removal with a complementary mobile trolley that can store up to 30 chairs at a time. This also allows the whole stack to be transported effortlessly and speedily through a standard doorway. To enhance safety, the rubber-tyred swivel castors on the trolley are braked. The tubular steel trolley which accompanies this highly versatile free standing chair is finished in black nylon and can accommodate both armed and armless chairs or a combination of the two.

Available in a variety of coloured plastic laminates, a removable writing tablet can be incorporated into the Stanway seating system. It attaches easily to the chair via a special plastic fitting and, when fixed is extremely rigid, making the Stanway free standing seating system ideal for use in educational environments such as lecture theaters, schools, colleges and universities.

Where required, special unobtrusive fittings can be specified which allow chairs to be firmly linked together. To further enhance row stability, row linking bars are available to ensure constant row spacing.
