Blenheim
The Blenheim, the latest addition to Race Furnitures range of auditorium seating systems, is very much like the famous British stately home, from which it takes its name. Its designers have brought together all the qualities associated with old-fashioned craftsmanship and blended them with comfort, style, and exceptional quality.
The Blenheim is the latest in a progression of seating design started by the late Ernest Race, the doyen of seating design in autitoria, lecture theatres, conference halls and public buildings throughout Britain and Europe.
The Blenheim seating system was designed using computer modelling to optimise structural integrity and ergonomic performance.
The chair has been designed to meet the most exacting requirements of modern theatre design and is available in a wide range of seat widths, back heights and back and arm inclinations to facilitate idealised theatre layouts and sight-line performance. Acoustic objectives can be achieved through alternative structural elements and uphostery details.
Unique Features The chair incorporates a unique spring tip mechanism which allows for synchronised adjustment of the back and seat to optimise comfort, legroom and sight-lines for particular auditorium designs. The back inclination can be adjusted from 11 to 21 degrees.
Each chair can be individually fixed, using a patented socket system, so it can be removed to introduce sound and lighting desks, television cameras, wheelchairs and control panels, thus offering further flexibility to the auditorium designer. Furthermore, the seat is easily fitted to air handling pedestals.
Visually The Blenheim frame can be finished in polished aluminium, or powder coated. Its robust, stylish and modern frame makes it the ideal choice for new builds and theatre refurbishment projects, where elegance, quality and comfort are the key factors.
The Blenheim system, with its simple lines, modern materials and highly innovative design approach, has placed Race at the forefront of progress in the contract furniture, public & mass seating industry.
